Book release events for "Route 66 in Illinois!"
Joe and I are excited to announce our book release events for "Route 66 in Illinois" for the month of June! We're happy to share the new book with all of you and hope to see many of you at any or all of the following events! (This list is just for June! We're working on booking the rest of the summer as we speak. Confirmed so far later in the summer are the Route 66 Cruise In in Carlinville in July and the Route 66 Festival in Kingman, AZ in August!)
Here's the list for June:
Sunday, June 8th - Edwardsville! We will do a program with slides, and sign books afterwards, at the Madison County Historical Society Archival Library at 715 N. Main Street. This is the first day and place you can buy the book, and purchases at this event will benefit the Madison County Historical Society. Program begins at 2:00 pm. There is some parking BEHIND the library accessed from Second Street and also street parking - please get there a little early to find parking!
Monday, June 9th - OFFICIAL RELEASE DAY from Arcadia Publishing Company! This is the day copies of the book will be available in book stores and on line. (You can pre-order now on Amazon and other sites.)
Friday, June 13th - Saturday, June 14th - Edwardsville! Joe and I will have a booth at the Edwardsville Route 66 Festival in City Park right on old Route 66. Please do come see us. We'll have copies of the book available and would love to sign one for you.
Saturday, June 21st - Pontiac! We will be at Old City Hall Shoppes (right next to the Route 66 Museum in the old City Hall building at 110 W. Howard Street) for two signing sessions - from 10:00 am until noon, and in the afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Come say "hi," buy an autographed book, and visit the museum.
Saturday, June 28th - Springfield! The Waldmire family and everyone at the Cozy Dog Drive In are hosting us for our Springfield book release party! We'll be there from noon - 3:00 pm on Saturday. Please come out and join us at the Cozy Dog for great food and genuine Route 66 ambience. We'd love to see you and sign a book for you.
